Thankfully I feel now that I’m in a good place with it, and have been making steady progress over these last few weeks. (The little plaque pictured above was one of the first things we put up. There was a hook on the bathroom wall already and it just seemed right somehow.)
This week I also finally reestablished contact with someone whom I’ve wanted to talk to for the book since the beginning; hopefully things will work out. (Thank you Senta Moses for going above and beyond to help...again.)
That’s not to say there haven’t been some false starts along the way. I’m particularly indebted to a member of the production team who helped me see some aspects of My So-Called Life’s creation in a new light. Though he recently declined to be included in the book after reflecting on our chat, he also helped me appreciate that the friendships behind the scenes could be as close, and occasionally as traumatic, as anything we ever saw on screen.
If you have any questions about the book, or just want to chat about the show, please feel free to drop a comment here or message me directly. Now if you’ll excuse me, I really should get back to work ;-)
Go now, go,
