7 Years Ago Today...

Another June 5th is upon us. Normally this date puts me in a gloomy mood, reminding me of how many years have passed since I began this project on this day in 2018. This year is different.

By the end of this month, I will have sent (or will have attempted to send) a rough draft of the book to each of the 40+ people I interviewed, for their review.

At last it will feel like things are moving FORWARD.

So Beautiful it Hurts: The Making of My So-Called Life is due to the publisher in November. But I can’t think about that at the moment.

Right now I want to thank every one of you who have shared your thoughts on this amazing show with me. You’ve opened my eyes to so many things, for which I will always be grateful.

Once I’ve received feedback from those interviewed, we’ll begin the layout process, which is always my favorite part. That’s when this jumble of words and ideas finally begins to look something like a book.

We’ll get there. And we’ll do it together,
