I forgot how good Patti D'Arbanville is in this series, particularly in "Other People's Mothers." Just love the chemistry between her and AJ Langer as they communicate so much purely through body language.
The following is from our conversation for the book:
"[AJ] was so outgoing. She wasn’t exactly like the character, either, she was making that character. I identified with being her mom very much. I’m a very loving mother and I wanted that to show. Even though I was neglectful and wanted to be the cool mom, the mom who’s a friend (because I’m not THAT mom at all), but I’m still a very loving mother."
